Vanessa Santillan

Vanessa Santillan is a Computer Engineering student at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC). A Santa Barbara native, she first learned to speak Spanish at home before learning English in school because her family immigrated from Mexico. She has an associate of science degree in Computer Network Engineering from SBCC and has over seven years of technical support experience. Her longtime academic goal has been to transfer to a university. Vanessa is passionate about working with technology and hopes to someday create Internet-of-Things devices and wearable tech. When not working, Vanessa enjoys repairing and collecting retro video games and computers, playing with her pet cockatiels, and dancing Zumba!
