We're excited to developed squeezed-light hardware for remote sensing applications!
Quantum-enhanced sensors enable precision measurements beyond the reach of classical technologies by utilizing entanglement and squeezed light, which are already deployed in landmark experiments such as LIGO; however, existing demonstrations rely on bulky, energy-intensive tabletop sources that lack scalability. Photonic integrated circuits (PICs) offer a transformative path forward, enabling chip-scale, low-power, and robust quantum sensors. Building on our advances in AlGaAs-on-insulator quantum PICs, this project will pioneer chip-integrated quantum-enhanced platforms for remote sensing, providing a foundation for deployable devices.
