Galan Receives the Superlattices, Nanostructures, and Nanodevices Young Scientist Award
ICSNN 2018
July 27, 2018
Galan received the young scientist award at the the ICSNN (International Conference on Superlattices, Nanostructures and Nanodevices), which is a biennial conference series with a tradition lasting back to the 1980s, usually being the largest satellite conference to the International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors (ICPS).
The scope of the conference includes:
- Quantum Nanotechnologies: Solid state quantum information processing, spin qubits in quantum dots, hybrid superconductor-semiconductor nanostructures
- Two Dimensional Systems: electronic, transport and topological properties, Floquet systems
- Nano-photonics and quantum optics in single quantum dots, microcavities and photonic bandgap materials
- Latest nanostructure fabrication techniques
- Nanoelectronics: transport in semiconductor quantum dots, AC-driven transport, quantum thermoelectricity
- Semiconductor nano-spintronics, spin manipulation in nanostructures
- Terahertz physics and devices
- Nanoelectronics in biosystems, hybrid organic semiconductor systems, molecular systems and devices
- Electronic and optical properties of novel semiconductor structures
