I am from Seoul, South Korea and an ECE graduate student pursuing a master's degree in Electronics and Photonics program. I majored in Electrical Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as an undergraduate and worked in Semiconductor Research & Development Center at Samsung Electronics as a process integration engineer. My research area is quantum interconnects and the research topic is developing a quantum transducer between superconducting and optical qubits using a mechanical resonator. I love Cuban cigars, French red wines, boxing, quantum mechanics, history, and traveling but am not a huge fan of finance as a study and golf. Listing from the East to the West, I have traveled to Japan, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Egypt, Morocco, Spain, and Canada so far and hope to visit Mongolia, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Greece, and Israel later.
Recommended Reading:The Tao of Physics written by Fritjof Capra, an Austrian-born American physicist, and a bestseller published in 1973 exploring "the parallels between modern physics and eastern mysticism" which is actually the subtitle of the book.
